Why I Built It

Built by a Trader Who Hit the Same Wall

I'm Dennis Wong. I majored in Computer Science and have worked in IT for more than 10 years — most recently as a System Architect at a payment provider. Outside of work I'm passionate about algo trading. After building my own automated strategies, I learned the hard way that backtesting is the real bottleneck: multi-terminal setup, identical taskbar icons, Excel copy-paste, and results that are easy to lose. I built BacktestPilot to be the research control center around MetaTrader — so serious researchers spend time on strategy thinking, not terminal babysitting.
